To make installation virtually foolproof, each brace is precision machined to guarantee the exact depth and position of the screws. And with each of the screws (1 1/4" and 3") having a different diameter (thickness), you can only insert the correct screw into the correct hole, making it virtually impossible to screw it up (pun intended!).

With Squeak-Relief, pre-drilling is never required and under normal circumstances, it should only take one brace to make a repair.
